WB005: Pain Management

A focus on managing physical pain with an exploration of self management techniques and how our mental and emotional resilience can influence the way we cope with pain. In this episode Carolyn reflects on her own wellness journey and how she didn’t manage her acute and chronic pain well. Pain medications were the main treatment used but now she can look back and reflect on how her health challenges have opened up a whole new world of self management techniques including mindfulness, nutrition, gentle exercise and self care. Carolyn talks about the public events coming up in National Pain Week and her experiences living with a husband and daughter who have ongoing pain management issues.
